A quick intro from moi

Hi, that’s me on the left. I’m Jolene. Yep, spelled like that timeless country song. (Thanks Dolly, you’re the best!!!) I am a nature lover, mama, wife, and Hungarian vizsla pamperer. My little family formed in Montana in 2009, and here is where we continue to thrive. Now so wise and on the verge of 40, I’ve solidified my Montana passions which include and are not limited to: gardening, birding, wildflower spotting, rock hounding.
But I’m a peacock, and ya gotta let me fly. When I’m not busy spotting birds or cool rocks, I like to spend my free time planning future adventures. These trips, whether near or far, are something I majorly (obsessively, perhaps?) look forward to during Montana’s long winters.
Sharing is caring and all, so I figured I should share my precious trip planning knowledge. After all, most of my decisions are made via reading reviews, blogs and forums. So, welcome to Mountains and Mangroves: a super cool blog focused on travel advice with a little Montana meandering peppered in.
